With «Red, Yellow, Orange,» Geoffrey Bouillot explores the expressive power of color through a vibrant and structured composition. Created using acrylic paint, the work creates a tension between planes of red, yellow, and orange that respond to and overlap each other according to a precise geometric language. The forms, broken down into volumes and facets, transform the surface into a dynamic space where light seems to flow freely. Between abstraction and construction, the artist offers a reflection on chromatic energy and visual perception, asserting a painting that is at once intense, rhythmic, and contemporary. As the artist explains: «This is a different approach to Mark Rothko's work. Instead of his large blocks of fluid color, I've implemented a repetitive geometric structure. The original hues remain visible and traverse my metallic volumes.»
