The famous panda by Takashi Murakami takes center stage in this new limited edition print.
Originally created as part of a collaboration with Louis Vuitton, this panda has since become one of the most iconic and enduring characters in Murakami’s universe. Here, a panda mother and her cubs are sitting on a fiery sphere composed of smiling flowers, a paradox that is both disturbing and fascinating and perfectly characterizes the artist’s artistic approach.
In this limited edition, the sky, originally created in gold leaf, has been reinterpreted using high-density reflective sequins, adding an ultimate layer of contradiction between brilliance and unease.
The profits generated by this edition will help support the future of the Brooklyn Museum.
