With this work, Geoffrey Bouillot pays a direct tribute to Fernand Léger. Created in acrylic paint, it reproduces the original structure of the composition with its two figures and the book, while reinterpreting the scene through its characteristic geometric language. The bodies are transformed into tubular volumes with industrial accents, reinforcing a mechanical and contemporary reading of the human figure. Between fidelity to the original composition and plastic transformation, the work is part of a modern reinterpretation of Léger’s universe, where the figure becomes a construction and visual rhythm.
As the artist explains: «For this format, the homage to Fernand Léger is direct. I have kept the original structure with the two characters and the book, but by emphasizing the tubular and industrial dimension of the bodies.»
