With «Look Daisy!», Geoffrey Bouillot revisits the world of pop art through a figure derived from the famous painting «Look Mickey» by Roy Lichtenstein. Created in acrylic paint, the work transforms the character's head into a sculptural object, constructed from geometric volumes and facets, where the form becomes autonomous and almost architectural. Between abstraction and figuration, the composition is a contemporary reinterpretation of pop imagery.
As the artist explains: «For this series Look!, in six formats, I based myself on the characters from the famous painting Look Mickey by Roy Lichtenstein. I chose to paint their heads as objects, posed in the manner of Brancusi's Venus, entirely adapted to my language.»
