Born in 1986 in Paris, Ardif is a French street artist who lives and works in Paris. Trained in art preparatory classes and then in architecture, he has developed a universe where architectural rigor, steampunk aesthetics, and pop culture imagination meet.
Inspired by pop culture, Miyazaki's cinema, Star Wars and the animal world, Ardif creates ephemeral works that he sticks directly onto walls, making architecture a full-fledged medium. His work, influenced by land art, plays with ephemerality, urban space, and materials.
Through a vast graphic bestiary, the artist creates a tension between nature and the industrial world. His extremely detailed, symmetrical compositions confront the organic texture of animals with mechanical and architectural structures, questioning the fragile balance between human innovation and the environment.
Ardif's works have been exhibited in France and internationally since 2016, notably in the United States and London.
