Petite Poissone's work is essentially text-based, with illustrations being quite rare. She draws and jots down her impressions in notebooks that she fills daily, which then become handcrafted books. These daily notes also give rise to the aphorisms she glues on the street or on everyday objects.

The search for disruption and discrepancy forms the common thread throughout their work, both in form and content. Very neat texts—cut and aligned to the millimeter—stuck on dirty street walls, tender words present in the collective consciousness (proverbs, popular songs) diverted in a sometimes vulgar way, feminist messages adorning iconic household items of the 1950s/60s housewife.
