Melkio
Melkio, whose real name is Luca Melchionda, is an Italian contemporary artist born in Genoa in 1984. A self-taught artist, he has developed a unique style fueled by a constantly evolving imagination. His works, recognizable for their bold lines and expressive colors, fall under the umbrella of surreal pop, blending simplicity of line with symbolic depth.
After a journey marked by electronic music and visual creation, Melkio chose in 2020, during the lockdown, to devote himself fully to art. His universe is narrative and dreamlike: each work tells a story, provoking curiosity, playfulness, and reflection in the viewer.
He has exhibited in Italy and internationally (France, Canada, Turkey, etc.) and has collaborated with prestigious brands such as Giobagnara. Among his most innovative projects is research conducted with the IIT (Italian Institute of Technology), where he created canvases in collaboration with the robot Alter Ego 3, exploring the dialogue between humanity and technology.
Melkio's art is an invitation to dream, smile, and rediscover the world through a gaze that is both childlike and visionary.
