Megamatt
Megamatt is a French urban artist whose work has, over the years, become strongly focused on a cult video game character: Conrad B. Hart, hero of the game Flashback: The Quest for Identity (1992). Fascinated by the rotoscopic animation and futuristic aesthetic of the game, Megamatt made it an almost exclusive artistic playground, multiplying representations of the character in an infinity of poses and formats.
Although his early works explored other visual universes, it is this graphic obsession for Flashback who ended up defining his style: an assumed, almost methodical repetition of the same protagonist, always in motion. Collages, murals, or screen-printed editions, his works replay Conrad's movements image by image in an urban and pixelated Paris.
Focusing on a single character, Megamatt blurs the lines between tribute, conceptual art, and street art, creating a unique work that bridges video game nostalgia and visual minimalism.
