Clet
Clet Abraham is an artist of French origin, born in 1966. He has lived in Florence, Italy since the 90s.
He honed his skills at the École des Beaux-Arts in Rennes and now works in his studio in Florence. His work involves repurposing road signs to create original, brightly colored artworks with a touch of humor. He critiques the coldness of signage, integrating a more human dimension into signs that symbolize rules and order. It was in Florence that Clet created his first repurposed works, by first cutting out stickers and applying them to signs in the streets.
His creations are to date visible in the biggest European capitals: Paris, Rome, London, Turin, Milan, and Barcelona.
