Mobile Marathonienne
La Marathonienne, originally conceived in 1981 for the city of Vitry-sur-Seine and regularly featured on the international art scene, has become a true icon of its art. Revealed to the general public by the American series Billions, this modern and indomitable sportswoman who pushes her body to endure fatigue is sublimated in that precise second where, reaching the climax, the artist captures her in flight. Immortalized in this moment of ultimate grace, she impresses with the softness of her curves and the eroticism of her figure, which contrast with the rigor of her composition (the perfect geometry of a circle divided into 3 angles of 120° thanks to a central axis). Generally presented in monumental formats, this work is now presented in a small format for the Art for All collection, proving once again that the grace of its forms knows no bounds.
