The artist has transposed the universe of Space Invaders onto it, humorously and visually exploring the notions of boundaries – between retro video games, physical media, and contemporary art. Each disc is transformed into a pictorial miniature: the artist delicately reinterprets the iconic patterns of the pixelated invaders, while playing on the graphic limits of the magnetic medium. The result is a subtly playful work that dialogues between geek nostalgia and reflection on visual and conceptual boundaries.
