With «Blue Nude II,» Geoffrey Bouillot revisits the tradition of the nude in art history through his characteristic geometric language. As the artist explains: «Matisse is the artist who awakened me to art, and his Blue Nudes series is among my favorite works. The anatomical and fragmented bodies interlock in a very mechanical way, while also standing out clearly against the background of metallic chevrons.»
