MURAKAMI
2025
Mosaic
3,00 × 57 × 76 cm
Murakami is a mosaic work created by the French artist IN THE WOUP as part of its 2025 collection MARIO WORLDZ PROJECT.
This creation revisits the universe of Takashi Murakami through the visual language of the artist, by associating pixel art, culture populaire et références à l’art contemporain. IN THE WOUP transpose les codes colorés et l’imaginaire pop de Murakami dans son univers inspiré de Mario Bros and video games.
With the MARIO WORLDZ PROJECT, l’artiste poursuit son travail de détournement en fusionnant l’univers de Mario avec des figures emblématiques de la culture, du cinéma, de la bande dessinée, des jeux vidéo et de l’histoire de l’art.
