Born from a desire to break the mold, Tegmo chooses to move away from the traditional symbol of the heart to offer another representation of love: more open, more inclusive, more contemporary.
This mirrored work reinterprets the symbol of love between men, integrated into a fragmented composition where light and reflections play a central role.
True to its approach, the artist subverts the primary function of the mirror: the viewer never sees themselves directly, but perceives their surroundings and others. Love is no longer turned inward, it faces outward.
The mirror then becomes a space for collective projection, a medium for visibility and recognition. By choosing this symbol, Tegmo affirms a free and acknowledged love, while also reminding us that forms of love and identities are multiple and legitimate.
Through the fragmentation of the reflection, the work evokes the diversity of paths and experiences, and celebrates the plurality of ways of loving. More than an emblem, this piece is an invitation to look differently: to see the other, to accept difference, and to let the light reveal what connects rather than what separates.
