He was already one of the most-followed artists of his generation in France, with a community of over 250,000 people gathered around his work.

What has greatly contributed to its popularity is an idea that is both simple, generous, and extremely effective. Lorem collects abandoned items left on the street, paints them directly on them, films their transformation, and then invites people who follow it to come and pick them up for free. These interventions have quickly become veritable treasure hunts, highly popular on social media.

Originally, this approach was much more instinctive. Lorem used these recovered materials to train and continue painting without having to constantly buy canvases or materials that were sometimes expensive for a young artist. This constraint eventually became one of the founding elements of his universe and created a real fascination around his work.

I quickly felt the need to present it, because its style corresponds to many things I like about urban art. I am very sensitive to doodling, the universe of Keith Haring, which inspired it a lot, but also to the work of Mr. Doodle. At Lorem, I find this constant energy, that drawing that seems spontaneous and almost instinctive, when in reality it relies on very precise mastery.

His drawing may seem simple at first glance, but it is much more complex than it appears. He must know how to manage the line, the spaces, the repetitions, and the colors without losing the overall readability of the composition. His works are very dense, but they always maintain a balance and a true consistency.

Lorem also created a character that became the emblem of his work. This double face, slightly shaped like a heart, appears regularly in his compositions and makes his universe instantly recognizable. It is both cheerful and more ambiguous, as if it represented two emotions or two personalities combined into a single character.

In 2024, I proposed to her to work together and to create her first solo show. With her agent and her teams, we then began to imagine a project that was much more ambitious than just presenting works.

We worked for nearly six months on an exhibition to be presented at District 13 in January 2025. We had an area of about 100 square meters, entirely designed around the theme of the house. We had recreated a garage, a garden, a dining room, a bedroom, and even the artist’s studio. Each space had been imagined to immerse visitors in its universe and to show their work in a way that was different from simply displaying it on a blank wall.

The creation and staging of this exhibition remains for me one of the most intense moments of our collaboration. We had worked very hard with Lorem and his entire team, and discovering the first reactions from the public was a real reward. Many people already knew him through social media, but they had never had the opportunity to see as many of his works gathered in one place, or to discover his universe on such a scale.

The exhibition was a huge success. More than three-quarters of the works were sold during the fair, and the final pieces were subsequently acquired by their buyers within the following days. The project thus ended with a sell-out, which was particularly impressive for a first exhibition of this scale.

Just after this exhibition, Lorem also participated in an auction held on eBay Live. A work of a size usually offered at 950 euros in a gallery reached 3,300 euros. This price surge created a new enthusiasm around his work, both among his community and collectors, and confirmed the strength of demand.

Beyond the commercial success, I especially enjoyed seeing how eager the audience was to meet Lorem, to see his works in person, and to understand his creative process. His work does very well on social media, but it takes on a different dimension when you can observe the precision of the lines, the richness of the details, and the way he uses the media.

I myself also bought a large-format version of it during the exhibition. It’s a work that really caught my eye and which I hold very dear. For me, it’s also a very personal way of showing how much I believe in my work.

It is a real pleasure to work with an artist that I personally appreciate. This whole adventure has created a strong relationship, built around a particularly demanding but also very exciting project. I hope we will continue to imagine new exhibitions, new formats and many more wonderful things together.

["GET
